It’s been awhile since I last posted to my blog. Many ideas have come and gone. Many thoughts have been lost to time and space. Today, I want to just share with you a few images of out Most Loving Mother of Guadalupe on her feast day.

I ask of her to pray that I am able to get back to my poetry. Life gets overwhelming and can discourage you from doing the things that help keep life balanced.

I hope you all enjoy these images and that you continue with your faith and that you increase your prayers and learning of your Catholic faith. I pray for all of you and please all of you pray that I am able to return to writing poetry.

The following images were taken behind the San Felipe de Neri church in Alburquerque’s Old Town Plaza. The image was carved by my friend Ruzita Avila’s father. This image has been on this tree just over three decades. On December 1, 2012 Ruzita took my girlfriend Amanda and me and showed use the carved image. I took a few pictures and created some artistic images and was inspired to write a poem. La Virgen Morena is a very important part of our family and house hold. I am always looking for images of her created by those devoted to her. Today I was given the honor to see and photograph the following image.

La Guadalupana en el Arbol
by: Angelo J Sandoval

(c) 12-1-12

En un pesebre de madera
en una noche oscura
puso a su ninito Jesus
a dormir, a que fuera adorado

En una Cruz de Madera
los cuentos nos dicen
que era madera verde
la cruz,
quince pies de larga.
alli tambien viste
a tu hijo recustado

En dos estructuras
hechas de madera
del arbol de vida.
Jesus resen nacido y
al murir
en la leña de vida.

Virgen Santisma de Guadalupe,
el leño, el arbol de vida,
usted tambien escogillo
hacer su presensia
en ese arbol de vida.

En aquella casa de tu hijo
dedicada a San Felipe de Neri
escogo a su devoto y servio
que con su Mano
este tallador
tallo su imagen
en aquel arbol de vida.

Virgen Santa de Guadalupe
usted siempre,
con nosotros.
Con su hijo entro a esta vida
y salo de esta vida
en el arbol de la vida
Usted se hizo presente
en es arbol de vida.

Su servio, su devoto
en la Gloria estara
con usted y su Hijo.
La imagen en el arbol
siempre con nosotros.

Siempre Lupe

© 2011 Angelo J. Sandoval

Touring the Annunciation House
On my way to the second floor, starting to
climb up the stairwell.
What do I see?¿Que miro en frente de mi?
A mural,
Yes,
Un mural de
La Virgen de Guadalupe.
This mural is about eight from top to bottom.
A sign of esperanza.
La esperanza de que La Virgen morena,
Siempre quidando,
Mirando,
Un symbulo de juctica,
Un symbulo de fe.
The mural, la imagin,
Brings a calming feeling,
As you climb the stairs

La Virgin De Guadalupe, the Patron saint de la Casa Sandoval. An inspiration for hope. The photo above was take at a local restruant. The devotion a la Virgin Morena is part our life in the Sandoval house hold.
